The Ask:
How do we get teachers, students and parents across the country to think about Staples when it’s time to go back to school and grow a teacher email program?

The Solution:
We created a grassroots nominate your teacher campaign, where Staples would reward teachers with a cash gift for their classroom budget but also a personal gift to treat themselves for all the hard work over the past few years teaching through a global pandemic. The We (Heart) Teachers Contest drove students, teachers and parents across the nation to nominate their favourite teacher and tell us why. Then we travelled to the winners for a back to school followup campaign to feature them in marketing and give them the attention and praise they deserved!

The Results:

  • 140,000+ emails to teachers
  • 14 weekly contest winner + a grand prize
  • Press Releases, paid ads and 50+ social posts created
  • 200+ nominations of teachers across the country
  • 1 very happy client
